In her role as Head of Conferences, Middle East and Africa for the Economist Group, Haddad-Mazou & Partners’s founder and CEO, Marianne Haddad-Mazou was the major driving force in establishing the Economist Events Business in MEA, and developing it into the most profitable region for the Economist Events Unit, managing the programming, sales and operational teams, together with the company’s growth and profitability of the events business within the region.
During her 12 years tenure at The Economist Group, she has organised more than 75 world-class events within the MEA region, engaging and bringing together the most recognised and respected names in business and politics. Marianne Haddad-Mazou, has developed a strong network of key stakeholders in government and business at the most senior level across the globe and particularly in Africa.
Before joining Economist Events, Marianne Haddad-Mazou worked as Regional Manager, Africa, for 5 years at the World Economic Forum in Geneva, Switzerland, where she was instrumental in organising such events as the World Economic Forum’s Africa Regional Summits, and Annual meetings in Davos. Marianne holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Political Science from the University of Burgundy, France.
